The Arrowhead Guest House property is only one-quarter mile north of the Camp Wood city limits, yet it provides a true natural setting whether your interests are birding, fishing, swimming, kayaking, snorkeling, searching for artifacts, or simply relaxing. There are two comfortable, air conditioned houses, and each has a fully equipped kitchen. The larger house has sleeping accommodations for eight or more while the cottage can sleep six. The large house has an out door living area, and the cottage has a large covered deck for your out door pleasure. Dishes and linens are provided with each house. A kennel is provided for your family pet.

For those visitors who prefer birding and other nature activities Arrowhead Guest House has a library with numerous books on birding, mammals, reptiles, and plants as well as area history. Over 200 varieties of birds including the golden cheek warbler and black cap vireo visit the area every year.

Optional activities include arrowhead digging and year-round guided Axis deer hunts.

Arrowhead guest houses are convenient for anyone hunting in the Nueces Canyon area. Located on highway 55 just north of Camp Wood Ranch Road 337, Camp Wood Hills, Montell, Barksdale, Ranch Road 335, and Vance are all within an easy driving distance. The Arrowhead property is on the Nueces River.

The houses’ large living areas make card playing comfortable, and the fully equipped kitchens make meal preparation a snap. The large house easily sleeps 10, and the cottage sleeps 6. Linens are furnished. Each cabin has Direct-TV and telephone service.

In addition to accommodating hunters going to leases, Arrowhead guests have the option of a year-round guided Axis deer hunt.
